Types Of Digital Frames
Digital photo frames are the perfect companion to a digital
camera. Sure you can view your digital photos on your computer
or print them out, but how do you view them in any room of the
house, without having a pile of bulky albums, display more than
one or two photos on your desk at work, or share priceless memories
with friends and relatives, especially those who don't have a
computer?
Key Chains
Small
and portable, they let you have digital images your loved ones
with you at all times. They can be an actual key fob, a photo
watch, or a small stand-up in your bathroom or bedroom. They
typically have a 1.5-inch full-color display and can store
up to 120 JPEGs, GIFs or BMPs.
Stand-Alone Digital Photo Frames
With
screen sizes from 5.6 - 15 inches, these come in many frame
types and styles, including glass, clear plastic, wood, and
many types of metal. Photos can be loaded on them using a USB
connection to a computer or by inserting memory cards. These
digital photo frames can hold several thousand photos depending
on the size of the memory card and file size of the photos.
Wi-Fi Digital Photo Frames
Using
a Wi-Fi connection, your wireless digital photo frame can be
kept current and synchronized with your computer. Just set
up the frame, point to the library in the setup menu, connect
to your wireless router, and load the software on your PC or
Mac. From then on you can manually transmit photos to your
frame or have it update automatically.
Wall-Mounted Digital Photo Frames
Instead
of having just one painting on the wall, you can have an electronic
art library. Just load your images—famous paintings,
your own computer artwork, family photos, or anything you like—onto
your computer, then transfer them to your wall-mounted digital
photo frame. Sizes go up to a 24” diagonal screen with
wood, aluminum or stainless steel frame, and are available
with USB or Wi-Fi input.
